What film Genre needs a surge of new movies?

With over saturated Genres such as Superhero movies and endless remakes (all be it not a bad thing sometimes) dominating the film industry at this moment in time is there any film genres you would like to see a surge in?

Maybe I am wrong but I feel the Western genre of films is a tad under used.

Personally I would love a surge of Western movies, could be anything from the likes of The Searchers, Rio Bravo, The Good The Bad and The Ugly, Young Guns Tombstone etc.

I know a few have been done in recent years such as Django Unchained, Hateful Eight, Bone Tomahawk, Hostiles etc. Or in tv Westworld (although slightly different) gave a great scope to the western genre.

Another one I could think of is the old and great Noir films.

However that being said what would your picks be?

Or give some of your best western films
