Let's talk about Syndrome's leitmotif from the first Incredibles

It's one of the things that made the soundtrack great, a very versatile theme.

You first hear it (subtly) when Incrediboy appears (0:58) and also here (1:14), sounds pretty innocuous, right?

When Syndrome introduces himself as the one who used to be Mr. Incredible's "biggest fan," you kind of hear the first part of the leitmotif being drawn out at the start and at 0:30.

There's a jazzy version when Mr. Incredible is imprisoned after accessing Syndrome's computer.

It goes full "James Bond villain" during the scene where Mirage starts to doubt Syndrome and Elastigirl is sneaking around his base. Note that 1:15 of "Lithe or Death" is also heard at 0:23 here (when Mr. Incredible types in "KRONOS").

A brief 13 seconds when the intruder alert is sounded on Violet and Dash.

Gets jazzy again when Syndrome catches the whole family (2:03).

Big and bold as Syndrome leaves the island.

A heroic reprise when Syndrome tries to present himself as "a new superhero" (0:12).

Climaxes during the final fight with Syndrome's monstrous creation which had gone out of his control (3:58).

And then a last-ditch kidnapping.
