The scene in X-Men 2 where Mystique injects the prison guard with iron has a plot point I've missed for over 20 viewings

X-2 is probably my favorite and arguably the best entry in the series, I've probably watched it about 25 times. In this mentioned scene, there's a throwaway line where Mystique takes off the guy's pants and says "velcro, nice".

I always assumed this was just a joke to imply he's a lamewad. But actually, I just now realized - he can't have a zipper on his pants. Because he guards Magneto.

Mind = Blown.
