Movies that totally set up for a sequel but never had one (Spoilers)

I can think of a few right off the bat that I doubt ever really intended to have another film, but they left it open for interpretation or future possibilities anyway.

Disturbing Behavior - Nick Stahl's character being alive and moving on to a new school

The Cave - the parasite escaping to the surface in a host

Dark Shadows - Helena Bonham Carter's character is alive-ish

Godzilla (1999) - baby Zilla survives the blast at MSG

Would I actually have wanted the sequels they set up for? Probably only Godzilla.
