Summary:

In the late 1800s a timberman, Ephraim Winslow, gets a new job as a wickie for a solitary lighthouse on an isolated island with his only companion being the older lighthouse keeper, Thomas Wake. As time passes, isolation and terrors perhaps real or imagined drive the two men to the brink.
