Kill Bill Vol. 2 - regarding the final confrontation

Obvious spoilers in this thread.

During the final confrontation between the Bride and Bill, did Bill actually intend to kill her? There are numerous occasions during the span of both movies where Bill could have easily ended Kiddo's life, but he didn't.

My thoughts are that, if he wanted to end her life there and then, he wouldn't have been drinking heavily during their entire conversation. In every frame in Bill's final moments with Kiddo, he is seen either drinking, pouring the glass with booze or with his drink in his hand/near him. In his final moments, he is clearly under the influcence. Which professional assasin does that while on a "murder mission"?

So, no. I do not believe Bill was intending to kill her. I think Bill was ready to die.
