[For those who dabble in law] How would the characters in “Se7en” be tried?
I just watched “Se7en” to finish off Halloween with a little spookiness and was amazed by how good it was. However, I do have a couple of questions about how the characters that murdered people (because of the John Doe) would be tried in a court of law:
-
The man who killed the prostitute. He obviously didn’t do it because he wanted to. In a real life court case, how would this be handled? Would he go to jail?
-
David Mills killed John Doe. He was sort of provoked? I mean, Doe killing his wife could be seen as him being provoked and possibly in danger of being killed himself right?
I would love to know how these cases would play out in real life!
