Mike Leigh's Naked (1993) is 2 hours of pure nihilism and apocalyptic dread, and is also hilarious.
This is one of the bleakest and most depressing films ever made, and depicts a post-Thatcher London.
The story revolves around a well-read drifter names Johnny with a caustic sense of humor. He wanders around London, channeling his anger and hatred in the form of existential rants, such as convincing people that God is evil.
David Thewlis is fantastic in the lead role, both funny and angry. He gives a performance up there with the greats.
I highly recommend this one.
