Osmosis Jones is the perfect movie to celebrate receiving a CoVid vaccine.

My SO and I got vaccinated yesterday, and to celebrate we watched Osmosis Jones for the first time in at least 15 years for each of us. I remember liking this movie as a kid, but WOW this movie so much better as an adult living in today's age. The germ villain in this movie causes a fever instead of respiratory distress, and our good guy sidekick is just a cough pill and not a vaccine, but it still is so analogous to our current events.

The inner world of Frank's body is so well-executed and relatable, from the politics, the job roles, and the criminals hanging out in sketchy parts of town like the ingrown toenail. The world building is so immersive and believable. There are so many small health jokes I definitely didn't get as a kid.

The downside is that, as great as Bill Murray usually is, all the real-world scenes do hold this movie back. The over-the-top grossness is too much IMO, and his "redemption" at then end was unsatisfying to me. They had such a home run with the animated world, I wish they would have dedicated more time inside Frank's body.

Overall, would highly recommend to anyone looking to celebrate getting a CoVid Vax.
