Rewatched La La Land today and the prologue is still one of the best scenes of a movie I’ve sever seen.

The final 10 minutes of this is always beautiful and deeply sad. From the first note of their theme that Seb starts to play it’s just exceptional. The way it brings back and incorporates all the major motifs of the music throughout the movie, the incredible cinematography, the vibrant colors of the set design and of course the palpable chemistry between Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. It’s a transcendent ride into what could have been for the fools who dream.
