What are some of your cinematic hot takes?
Everybody has at least a few opinions in cinema that go against the general consensus, and generally raise a few eyebrows when mentioned.
I'll start off with a few of my own.
"Babe: pig in the city" is george Miller's best movie
Villeneuve's French language work is more interesting than his english language work
"All that jazz" was the best movie of 1979, not "apocalypse now"
Michael bay is a perfectly fine (if rather mediocre) director, and is attacked way too much, and has become a scapegoat
Baz luhrmann has never made a good movie
What are some of yours?
