Do people actually root for Amy Dunne (Rosamund Pikes character) in Gone Girl?

I've been thinking about Finchers fantastic movie Gone Girl in the last couple of days and decided to watch a few clips on youtube. The clips which heavily features Amy Dunne like her monologue are filled with comments that support or really empathize with her. I mean I get that Nick (Ben Affleck) was a cheating asshole but I was still rooting for him and not a murdering psycho like her. It seems like a lot of women empathize or "support" Amy online. The supporting comments are also on Tik Tok and other social media platforms

People draw comparisons how males support The Joker but I don't think anyone appreciates what he's done or that he was in the right.

What do you guys think about it? If you do root for Amy Dunne, I would gladly know why.
