Looking for a movie like Alien 1979 or The Thing 1982?

Just watched them both recently and I found alien to be so suspenseful and interesting. But The Thing took it a step further making it a game to see who was the imposter. Is there anything else like these two? Suspenseful sci-fi horror?Especially something that’s older I just love the lower picture quality of older films, it adds to the vibe.

I heard there’s a prequel to The Thing, is it worth watching?
