Name a movie you watched just to kill some time but turned out to be really good

For me it was Edge of Tomorrow with Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt! The whole premise of being dead and woke up again at same time felt a bit too familiar to me at first..but man the execution of the film was really really good and I was throughly focused watching it! I think by now I have seen the film about 4-5 times already!

Another one was also Whiplash! I think I was actually awed by the ending and it became (strangely) my comfort film now.
