Do you think movies will be structured differently in the future?

I ask because I went on a field trip with middle school kids last week. I watched them while they watched videos on their phones and they were constantly fast-forwarding and skipping through the video to get to the content they wanted. I asked if it was hard for them to watch a movie in it's entirety. Most said if they could watch it over a few days, and that it's "boring" to sit and watch an entire movie. It was sad to hear, and I wonder how this will affect the future film-making for that generation.
