Most mismatched onscreen couples

I just rewatched As Good As It Gets, having not seen it for many years and just couldn’t find it believable that Helen Hunt’s character would have fallen for Melvin (Jack Nicholson). Aside from the fact that there’s a huge age gap, he’s a horrible person in the film - selfish, rude, grouchy etc. I don’t think he did anywhere near enough to redeem himself imo. Can anyone think of any other equally unconvincing romantic pairings in movies?
