Why hasnt an epic biopic of George Washington been attempted?

Have been reading much about him, and also watching documentaries detailing his successes and failures as a general. Is there any obvious reasons that an "Oppenheimer" style movie, or a "Band of Brothers" style TV miniseries hasnt been made about GW? Much of the content available to stream is documentaries (which are great), or about a single event in his life/during the war. Seeing as this took place around 250 years ago when documentation was not as good as WWII, my first thought would be that many creative liberties would need to be taken by a director who undertook such a project, and it would ultimately lead to many inaccuracies and controversies. Would this be correct?
