Since when are "Teaser Trailers" 2 minutes long?

The last couple of "Teasers" I've seen, such as for The Magnificent Seven and Rogue One, seem like regular trailers previewing the whole story. I prefer them to frustrating teasers that show like a bunch of vague images and titles, but why are they calling them "Teasers"?
