Hey /r/movies, I'm Eric Heisserer, writer/producer of LIGHTS OUT, Ask Me Anything.

Happy Wednesday, everybody. I'm Eric. I worked with director David F. Sandberg to adapt his short film "Lights Out" into a feature (opening wide this weekend! kermitflail.gif) and thought I would duck in here for a bit today and talk to you gorgeous monsters.

I'm grateful to finally have a proper AMA with you all today. My first scheduled one, to discuss my 2013 directorial debut, had to be cancelled after the sudden and tragic loss of my star, Paul Walker. I still miss him. (Trivia: He browsed imgur a ton, for silly animal pics.)

At any rate, I'll be back at around 11am PST to start answering questions. And if I don't know the answer, my little friend Diana will handle it.
