I just realized that we know basically nothing about Suicide Squad's plot only a couple weeks before release
As in, we really don't know anything beyond the basic concept of it being a team being made up of bad guys by the government. We don't know who the antagonist is, we don't know why the team is being formed (I think there might be some kind of vague reasoning about the government being worried about people like Superman? idk), the trailers haven't really told us any of this.
I thought maybe I just missed it but I checked Wikipedia article and the premise is stated as "A secret government agency led by Amanda Waller recruits imprisoned supervillains to execute dangerous black ops missions in exchange for clemency and saving the world from an unknown but powerful threat". It's surprising, because we normally know a lot more going in.
Just something I noticed. Thought it was interesting.
