Popular movie trivia that's actually bullshit

I might be overreacting to this article

but I've heard so much trivia like this delivered so smugly that it's kind of satisfying to learn the people insisting on it were full of it. I heard elsewhere that the scene in Being John Malkovich where he gets hit with the beer was in fact not really improvised like a lot of people insisted but I don't remember where.
