Halloween Recommendation: Jacob's Ladder

Hey guys, this Halloween season just wanted to plug one of my all time favorite horror movies: Jacob's Ladder.

In my mind, this is singular movie, that captures a sense of dread I have never seen repeated as successfully. It has become almost cliche to describe many horror movies as "dream-like," but I think this is the movie that best captures the aesthetic of a true nightmare, with a winding narrative taking you from one sublimely terrifying image to another. The surreal dream-like feeling you get watching this movie is something I have been chasing ever since, but I have never found a movie that does it as consistently or successfully as this. The closest I've come is the Silent Hills games, which not coincidentally, owe much of their aesthetic to this movie.

Check this one out, you will not regret it!
