I saw "Serpico" without seeing what was the movie about...

... And I honestly think the movie is a classic just because Al Pacino.

Yeah, I know it's a fact. But the movie had everything to be awesome without him: a good plot, based on a true story, the NY scenery, the dialogues, the one-man-against-the-world vibe... But Al is, in fact, the master key for all the hype. The way he looks to the bad cops, the way he walks, the way he talks to everybody, frustrated with the world around him... Jesus, I loved the movie.

I was talking in another post that he did an amazing job in "Heat", but I liked him way better in "Serpico". What a solid movie.
