With The Truman Show leaving Netflix shortly, I finally sat down to watch it.
I've always wanted to watch this movie and would start it but never fully invested myself in it to watch it all the way through. I knew that it was being removed from Netflix at the end of the month so I made it a point to watch. I always knew what it was about but I just finished it moments ago and am taken aback by how powerful of a message it has left me with.
I know what I'm about to say is nothing new but I just wanted to reflect on the movie for a moment. For anyone who has not seen it, please do. In a way I am glad that I waited to actually watch it because I feel like I am at an appropriate age and perfect place in life where I can relate very well to the film. Day in and day out, same routine for the most part - accepting what is around us and working with what we are given. Really makes me want to get out there and cross that bridge to whatever lies beyond.
