Payback, Get The Gringo and Blood Father make an excellent Mel Gibson triple bill.

Just watched Blood Father, what a great film that is, and it got me thinking that if it had of included some sort of internal monologue like the other two it could have been a great trilogy of sorts.

The first movie is a petty criminal of dubious moral standing out for revenge (and his $70,000), The second movie is his term in prison and the third movie is him trying to go straight and redeem himself.

It's great to see Mel still has it in his locker, maybe it's because he's free to pick an interesting storyline and is not tied to trying to fulfill the 5th or 6th instalment of a stale movie franchise like say Arnold or Bruce Willis, but he's aged into that old weary action star far better than either of those guys...having said that, I reckon he could have been amazing as an 'Old Man Max' in Fury Road, No offence to Tom Hardy who is excellent, but Mad Max is pretty much a supporting character to Furiosa in that flick, which would have suited the older Mel and I wish I could have seen that.
