Something I think goes largely unnoticed in the Dark Knight Trilogy

Ra's won in the end. During Batman Begins Ra's basically wanted to turn Gotham's people against each other and sow chaos in order to get rid of the corrupt systems that had choked the city. Bruce thought it could be saved without devastation of that level, but by TDKR you can tell all of Bruce's efforts have only lead to a gilded piece of shit that's still corrupt to its core. The accidental rebirth of the city instead of its annihilation by Bane and Talia made the city root itself out and actually came together after turmoil on the scale Ra's imagined, and it's implied its soul is finally saved.
