This year I have traveled over 75,000 miles for work, George Clooney's character from 'Up in the Air' is such an accurate depiction of a frequent traveler
The film so accurately depicts frequent travelers, from the way George Clooney navigates through airport security, to how he keeps the retractable handle up while carrying his luggage up a flight of stairs to how he struggles to get his door open because he has multiple hotel key cards in his wallet, the movie Up in the Air is dead on for what it's like to be a frequent traveler.
The most accurate part of the movie, and I am ashamed to admit I do this too, is where Ryan Bingham scans the different security lines deciding to get behind the Asians in line over the family, old people and middle eastern gentlemen.
Granted my line of work is not even remotely similar to what George Clooney's character does in the film, I feel the same connection to isolation that he does. It's a weird feeling but one I can certainly relate to.
