Why is Transcendence considered such a bad movie?

I just watched it and thought it was OK, overall I enjoyed it, but I saw a lot of hate for it. I mean it wasn't great but it had interesting and thought-provoking themes. I read a lot that it had 'missed opportunities', but which are these? Were do you think the went wrong, what should have been done differently? I'm honestly curious.
