I counted 10 (including 2 roles as Jack) and that isn't even counting times he has reprised his roles in Sequels.

So you have: Johnny Utah, Johnny Mnemonic, Jack (John) Traven, John Constantine, John Wick, Don John, John Rain, "John" (Generation Um), Jonathan Harker And Jack Fenton.

Is this a known fact or something that Keanu requests or just a happy coincidence?

I had just noticed this going through his filmography and thought even though John is a popular name it was an unusually large number of time he played a character named John!
