The Edge Of Seventeen (2016) is the perfect modern coming of age film.

I love coming of age films and this was flipping fantastic! I'm a senior in high school and this movie perfectly captured the awkwardness and social anxiety some teenagers get. I'm a guy but I feel like Nadine and I could switch places (besides the whole best friend part) she was relatable and funny.

I haven't been so in love with a coming of age film since Perks of being a wallflower but that was dated back to the mid 80's early 90's, but I'll be telling my friends about this one for sure.
