We've lost a lot of talented people in 2016. Just a reminder that Oscars' "In Memoriam" recognizes the passings of those since the previous ceremony; not the calendar year.

Just wanted to remind people of this before they wonder why Alan Rickman and David Bowie won't be honored tonight. They were honored at last year's ceremony.

And with the passing of Bill Paxton, I'm guessing they honor him tonight and not next year's ceremony? Can't remember when something like this has happened before.
