About Time. The film that tricked me into crying.

So I saw the film About Time. For those not familiar with the film it's a romantic comedy about a young man that finds out he can travel back in time to his timeline and uses it to find the love of his life. It sounds cheesy and from the previews it looks like a standard romcom. That's what I thought til I ended up crying towards the end of the film. The first half is pretty standard for a romcom. Quirky jokes, awkward shy male lead, ect. The lead uses he's time traveling abilities to fix his gullible mistakes. But as the film progresses, and the lead gets married and starts a family. He learns how it affects his powers and can't change everything in his life as he wants. The part that put me to tears I won't talk about because I feel that it's better to watch the film and experience it. But the whole scene is short but really punches you in the heart. But it really shows that even if you have some powers that change time you still have to face life's realities and learn to appreciate your life for what it is. I loved the film and I hope anybody gives it a chance. I give it 8/10.
