Wow, a difference of 3 million between first and third and less than 20mil difference in the top 10. Must have been a nerve wracking last couple of weeks for anyone competing for the top 10!
Great job everyone! As always if you placed in the top ten be sure to PM me a screenshot of your FML home page and I will don you with custom flair! Thanks for playing!
And now, as Jay-Z would say, on to the next one.
Hope everyone enjoyed the historically awkward Oscars this year! Seeing as how the best picture flub probably got more press than the Oscars have gotten in the last decade, or maybe even ever, I have a feeling Oscar films might get a bump in sales this week. Especially Moonlight which is super cheap to play this week. Of course the big question on all our minds is... To play Logan or not to play Logan? Last year Deadpool made FML history by smashing its expectations and continuing to outdo predictions for almost its entire theatrical run. One week the perfect cinema was 8x Deadpool! That said, Deadpool definitely didn't cost 800 FML bux when it came out. Get Out also smashed expectations last week and could hold a strong 15mil if it drops 50% this week which would make it a contender to max out instead of playing Logan. I guess we'll have to wait and see, just don't forget to set your lineup before Friday!!! Last season I forgot to set my lineup in week one and was googling sad pepe memes for weeks.
For those of you who aren't a member of the /r/movies Fantasy Movie League, now is a perfect time to join with the new season beginning this Friday! It's a simple concept. You own a fantasy theater and it's your job every week to fill up your eight screens with currently playing movies. Depending on how well the movies are projected to do they will cost different amounts so you must fill your screens while staying within the universal budget of 1,000 FML Bux. You can play the same movie multiple times or leave screens blank at the cost of a small penalty, and there are bonuses for choosing the movie that makes the most per dollar spent and getting the perfect lineup! It's a season long game so if a week or two don't go your way you're not out of the running at all! As you can see, the difference between 1st and 10th place this season was over 80 million!
