Watched The Big Short again the other day. Even though Christian Bale is one hell of an actor, I think Steve Carell was massively overlooked for an Oscar

Not saying that it deserved an Oscar over others that year but considering Bale was nominated, Carell's performance is fantastic. The emotional range to do with his brother, the shock when he's finding things and the despair towards the end, I just think he was more deserving to get recognition than Bale.

Please don't take this as a slight on Christian Bale, I think he's brill.
