What do you think of Emma Watson's acting?

Her acting in the trailer of The Circle kills all credibility of that film. Her English accent waivers in and out of lines, she has no real emotional expressiveness except "mild concern" like she can't log into Facebook or something.

I just don't understand why they cast her - aren't there enough talented American girls to nail a role like this? Anna Kendrick for example?
