What 'forgotten' great actor (or actress) needs to have their own "McConaissance"?

If I had to pick anyone it would probably be Val Kilmer. He was popular in the 80's and 90's but dipped off in the new millennia. He's been working steadily since, but hasn't really appeared in anything gaining significant attention since maybe Deja Vu which was released 11 years ago. I know it's become sort of a circle jerk on Reddit over the past few years, but his performance of Doc Holliday was the most fully realised character in the history of cinema (that's not someone Daniel Day Lewis played) in my honest opinion. Tombstone as a whole is a slightly above average movie, elevated further simply because of Kilmer's performance. He's been good in other flicks, but for obvious reasons that one is likely his Magnum opus.

In a weird way, I would really love it if Adam Sandler started caring more about the craft of acting. I get that he's in it at this point to have fun and make money, but his stints in Punch Drunk Love and Reign Over Me left many people hoping to see more of that side of him. I have no doubt that there's a terrific actor still in there, I just hope one day that he decides to let him back out.
