What has been the biggest waste of an ensemble cast?

I recently saw Out of the Furnace and was amazed at the waste of a great cast in the movie. It seemed to be an enjoyable slow burn at first but went absolutely nowhere.

Really disappointing considering this was filmed when Bale, Harrelson, and Casey Affleck were really putting out great work during that time plus you had Dafoe and Whittaker as well. It's kind of an example of how ensemble movies can be tricky things because actors can only carry the movie so far if the writing is lacking.

What are some other prime examples of this in movies old and new?
