With directors like M.Night Shyamalan making a comeback, George Miller finally doing a contemporary action film 30 years, what directors do you think can make a comeback or already have, and directors who should revisit a genre they were absolutely dominating in?

For clarification I'm talking about directors who may have made garbage or very underwhelming movies making a comeback and directors who took a hiatus, not from filmmaking but from a genre he/she absolutely dominated.

Obviously include any future directors that would come in mind.

Also if anything a bit off topic go ahead and speak your mind.
