What is the most useless subplot in a movie?

After recently watching Valerian I realized how rather useless the subplot involving Rihanna was. It really didn't contribute much to the overall story line and while it did give us an entertaining performance from Ethan Hawke, it really just padded the run time and added some variety to the film's visuals. They could've easily cut from Laureline finding Valerian in his crashed ship to them walking around and finding the entrance to their objective. I don't know, it just bugged the hell out of me that Busson couldn't find a better way to work that subplot into the whole movie.

Another horrible example of a subplot is in Transformers: Age of Extinction where in the first act there is way too much screen time devoted to Yager's daughter's relationship with an older man. There is absolutely no reason for this other than Michael Bay thought it would be good to add some comedy into the mix.

So I ask, what is the most useless subplot you've seen in a movie?
