In pursuit of becoming a more well-rounded movie fan, I tried to sort through notable movies celebrating -0 year anniversaries this year (2007, 1997, 1987, 1977, 1967, 1957, 1947, 1937)

I started with the top 5 US box office movies in a given year and then added in Best Picture and Best Director winners. To give it some perspective I added two "consensus" columns and a "zeitgeist" movie. These were more for feel. The consensus are movies most people recognize as great films from that year, "zeitgeist" is something that struck a pop culture nerve from that year. I tried to avoid redundancies on the consensus and zeitgeist picks. And then I added in family movies from each year, too. I'm sure people will disagree with selections, so fill in gaps as you see them

I added in 2017 just for a comparison. Obviously they'd change as more movies are released and the Oscar winners get moved around
