Kong: Skull Island may have it's problems, but it's a damn good monster movie.

I've been very iffy about seeing it after the reviews about characters and writing etc.. Tbh it's been a while since release so I've forgotten a lot of the actual problems due to time passing, but the idea of "ehhhh its passable" hasn't left me.

Now that I'm watching it.. The monsters they're building up, along with the world in general, the idea of Kong being a defender type.. I love it entirely. Everything from Kong's humanity to the giant stick insect being passive, even after being shot..

I've heard of it being a tie-in with Godzilla, so all I can say is I can't wait for the following release because you bet I'm seeing thatshit in cinema.
