Last chance to secure tickets to the FREE screening of The Room this Thursday the 9th in 40 U.S. cities and afterwards free passes to see The Disaster Artist at a TBA date! Also details on how to win a Tommy Award!

Last week I made this post announcing 40 free screenings of The Room across the US and how to claim tickets. If you claim tickets and attend the screening you will also be invited to free screenings of The Disaster Artist coming out early next month. I checked in with the contact for the event today and they said there are still tickets available in every market except NY, Pheonix, Dallas, San Francisco, and Boston.* So if your city has a screening and isn't one of those cities then grab some tickets here!

Here's my comment with all the basic info:

Here's how this works. If your city is listed below you can use this link to claim a pair of tickets to a screening of The Room on November 9th.

There are 100 tickets per showing available to give out on reddit. That's 4,000 tickets so be sure to check your city ASAP! Please do not claim tickets unless you plan on going. We want these to be successful so we can do more of them, plus you will not be invited to attend the screening of The Disaster Artist if you don't attend the screening of The Room.

The screening of The Disaster Artist's date hasn't been announced yet but I would presume it will be in early December. The film releases on the 1st and goes wide on the 8th. All cities are eligible for the screening of The Disaster Artist except New York and Los Angeles. Sorry about that, I would presume it's because those screenings are already full but I honestly have no idea. The screenings are only slightly overbooked so be sure to arrive somewhat early to get in although they are not expecting to have to turn many people away.

Follow that link, look up your zip code or find your city on the list, and claim one or two tickets. There is a disclaimer saying if you claim two tickets and show up alone you will not be allowed in until the rest of your party arrives. The site prompts you to make an account, I signed on as a "guest" and it worked fine. The site also is very adamant about turning off AdBlock and then has some kind of annoying ads BUT the process is very quick. Once you claim your tickets you can download them right there and they are also e-mailed to you. I'll be at the Austin screening if anyone wants to party. guitar riff

It looks like there's more showings than cities listed here and some cities have been fudged, as in the showings may be located very nearby but listed under a different city, so be sure to search by zip code! Don't just ctrl+f your specific city! Sorry for the confusion!

This is pretty much all the information I have but if you have any questions reply to this comment and let me know and I'll try and get everything squared away! Thanks reddit, your my favorite customer.

On another note, a social media competition has just been announced in accordance with The Disaster Artist! You can win a Tommy Award by performing your favorite scene from The Room in public and using the hashtag #ImADisasterArtist. If you win you get a Tommy Award, which is a golden-looking statue of Johnny being torn apart, and a private screening of The Disaster Artist in your hometown with your friends. Pretty neat, eh? Check out this video announcing the competition!

Okay that's all I've got today I'm late to toss a football around in alley with my formally dressed best friend. Toodles!
