Finally saw Blade Runner 2049. Wow.

Purchased it on Vudu in 4K so I could at least try and get a semblance on the theater experience. Still wish I would have caught this in the cinema. This might be the best visual experience I’ve ever had with a film at home. What a worthy sequel. This kept the tone of the first film and expanded on it two-fold. Every sequence was a marvel to look at. That story was incredible. Deep, thought provoking, and emotional. It really has a lot of faith in the intelligence of its audience, and that’s rare these days. It’s disheartening that I went to see the IMDB reviews afterwards and I saw so many reviews shitting all over it. I’ve never felt a more disconnect from the people on a film than I do with this. I simply can’t wrap my head around someone who loves film and doesn’t love this one. It really is the best film I’ve seen in a long, long time.
