Michael Shannon is the same age as Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale

I've always found this humorous (and a little unsettling). I always thought Michael Shannon was well into his 50s, even his early 60s. He just has that face that shouts 'old' to me. Until you look up his age.

And then when you compare him to his fellow thespians of his age of 43 like DiCaprio and Bale, you just wonder if Michael Shannon either looks ridiculously old or the other 2 actors look very young for their age. Especially DiCaprio who has always had this perception of having been blessed with youthful looks. Though perhaps with Bale you can never quite tell if he looks 'appropriate' for his age given that he's sometimes putting on huge amounts of weight which can put several years on his face.
