Most brutal death in a PG-13 movie?

It's going on 8 years now, but 2010's True Grit has this scene that has no business belonging in a PG-13 movie. It's very violent, mostly in fact that the entire death is shown on screen with no edits, and doesn't shy away from ensuing blood letting.

I know there has been some tremendous leniency recently with violence being shown in films with a PG-13. What other movie deaths shocked you with its brutality under this rating?

EDIT: I should have prefaced this, but I'm talking about PG-13 movies solely. Not the graphic PG anomalies that slipped passed the MPAA in the 70s and early 80s.
