IMHO compared to Pan’s Labyrinth, The Shape of Water is a little overrated.

I watched The Shape Of Water last night and i found it a really good movie and a nice fairy tale with a little of a 90’s flavour.

But if we compare this movie to Pan’s Labyrinth, a great (and tragic) fairy tale, related to an interesting historical scenario, with the child character who enters in a sort of parallel world of fantasy which reflect the real tragedy she s living, that’s some great stuff. The movie is so underrated compared to the awards that Del Toro won and still could win with The Shape of Water.
