What are some "great idea, poor execution" movies?

In Time (2011) had a wonderful premise that had a promise of being a great movie... but man, the plot sucked, the directing and the acting was meh, and ultimately they botched it...

Also, I really wanted to like Project Almanac, as it had great potential for a meaningful and dramatic time travel story. All we got however was a bunch of teenagers pointlessly goofing around. Shame as it had competent direction and decent effects.
