If you're wanting a decent horror movie, I'd highly recommend The Ritual

I was looking for something to watch last night on Netflix, and came across The Ritual. Since Netflix's rating system is garbage, I looked at some reviews on IMDB and the general consensus seemed to be "yeah, it's worth a watch". So I decided to give it a shot and I actually really enjoyed it.

The ending is a little weak (which is a pretty common problem with most horror movies), but it had some really good acting, and there were genuine moments during the movie where my eyes were glued to the TV. They were able to build some excellent tension, and I think that a large reason for that was that you didn't get a good look at the creature until the end. Way too many horror movies show the monster way too often, but this movie didn't and I think that really helped it. There also wasn't an extreme over reliance on gore. There's definitely some gore to be found, but I didn't think it was overdone for a shock factor.

Anyways, I just wanted to share my experience! It's not anything revolutionary or groundbreaking, but if you want a solid horror film I would definitely recommend this one.
