Saoirse Ronan in 'Lady Bird'

I just watched this movie for the second time and damn. I am just floored by her performance in this movie. Somehow, Saoirse accomplishes playing a very specific person, and still gives her an 'everyman' quality.

I know there was some discussion here that it was a just another coming-of-age character, but I think that the performance is better than that. And I think it will hold up for a long time. Hell, the opening scene alone will stay with me for a long time.
