Strange experience in movie theater tonight

I’m at the movies by myself. Seeing a Quiet Place (which is really good) in a packed theater and as the trailers are ending, a guy wearing a backpack comes in the theater and stands by the front row for a second checking where his seat is. He spots it. Slowly walks to it and places his pack in his seat and then leaves the theater. My immediate thought is something about that isn’t right. I thought then maybe he’s just going to the bathroom. But I’m thinking, why did he place his bag down first? This is a reservation seated theater so it’s not like he needs to save a spot. I just make the decision to say something to management. I talk to someone, he follows me into the theater and I point at the seat with the pack. He walks up to it and as he does the guy is returning to his seat. Management says, is this your bag? Guy says, it’s mine. That was it. Management gave me the thumbs up and left and the movie started.

Maybe I was a little paranoid. Though in this time in the world, people are doing crazy things.
